The Admissions Office will be hosting an in-service open house on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon.
This professional development opportunity will be for all teaching faculty and professional staff who would like to become familiar with:
* Admissions functions such as application processing, call center intake, inquiry management, the transfer credit process, international student application processing, as well as on and off campus recruitment
* New student enrollment trends over the last decade
* Environmental factors that will make meeting new student enrollment goals more challenging (particularly as we approach 2012 and beyond)
* Explore the college-wide impact if we have an enrollment shortfall of 2-3% in the future. (This scenario is difficult to imagine while we are experiencing record-breading enrollment, but it is a realistic possibility.)
* Explore areas of improvement relative to attracting and yielding future new students so that a potential shortfall is minimized.
Please come and visit us any time during 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon. There is no formal schedule, so come by at a time convenient for you. We look forward to seeing you on December 2!
