Michael Johnson Attends Symposium on Poverty and Economic Security


Michael Johnson, DCC Counselor, was one of a few members from Action for a Better Community (ABC) who attended the New York State Community Action Association’s 6th Annually Symposium on Poverty and Economic Security. The two-day conference was held in Albany NY on March 15 and 16 and was attended by members from the 52 Community Action Agencies throughout the state of NY.  The theme throughout the conference focused on how community action agencies can assist people who are affected by poverty throughout New York State move from poverty to self-sufficiency.  Michael is a member of Action for a Better Community board of directors where he assists the organization in its efforts to promote and provide opportunities for low income individuals and families to become self-sufficiency within Rochester and Monroe County.
