Dan O'Hanlon has been selected to appear on the cover of the Winter 2003 issue of Student Leader magazine, a national leadership-development magazine for leaders of campus organizations.
Produced by Gainesville, Florida-based Oxendine Publishing, the magazine is distributed to over 1,400 colleges and universities across the country. Only three students nationally are chosen each year to appear on the cover. O'Hanlon is the first student from any school in New York to have the honor of being featured on the cover.
O'Hanlon was chosen based on academic excellence, well-rounded involvement in campus life experiences, impeccable moral character, and outstanding achievement in leadership development. Student Leader editors noted O'Hanlon's role as President of ASACC and Speaker of the Senate at Monroe Community College. "Your efforts to provide strong leadership to community colleges nationwide and on your own campus are extraordinary," the editors said in a letter to O'Hanlon.
The Winter 2003 issue is expected to appear in January.
