Are you Support Staff? The Support Staff Planning Council is Seeking New Members

Who are "support staff" at MCC? We are in a wide range of jobs: Department and administrative offices, Technologies, Student Services, Purchasing, Facilities & Building Services, Libraries, Controller's operations, Public Safety, and many more. The support we provide helps every function of the College.

If you'd like to connect with your colleagues while serving in a College-wide role, please consider joining the Support Staff Planning Council (SSPC).

  • Our mission is to provide quality Professional Development opportunities for the support staff at MCC.

  • We also represent support staff in MCC's shared governance. We participate in discussions alongside Administration, Faculty Senate, student government, and the Board of Trustees.

If you are a Support Staff employee and would like to learn more about SSPC, please contact Sylvia Lavin at slavin@monroecc.edu. You can attend a Zoom meeting and decide if SSPC is for you. If you're not interested in joining but have an idea related to support staff or a suggestion for Professional Development, we'd love to hear from you.
