STEP students are utilizing MCC's Career Coach

The MCC STEP students would like to thank Lomax Campbell for representing the Vice President's Office, Economic Development & Innovative Workforce Services while facilitating a Career Coach Workshop last week to the juniors in MCC’s STEP at the Rochester Academy Charter School.

Pondering the all-important question, "What would you like to be when you grow up?" Mr. Campbell gave the STEP students an introduction to MCC's Career Coach and showed them all of its useful tools. Students also analyzed the job availability in their chosen careers and looked at the projected job trends in the STEM fields & licensed professions. In addition, students were also exposed to the educational opportunities available at MCC.

To wrap up the session, students were introduced to the resume builder, a featured tool on Career Coach.  Students began creating their own resumes, an important document for these future college applicants. MCC STEP students are definitely "stepping up" and taking advantage of all the wonderful resources being made available to them.
