Bartholome to be Scholar-in-Residence at Bowling Green State University

Lynn Bartholome, Professor, English and Philosophy, has been invited to be a scholar-in-residence at Bowling Green State University (BGSU). While in residence, Dr. Bartholome will present a lecture on Ray Browne, the father of modern popular culture studies and founder of BGSU’s Popular Culture Department. She will also provide support to individual scholars doing research work at the Ray and Pat Browne Popular Culture Library and facilitate workshops for both graduate students and current college educators on various types of popular culture research.

Bowling Green State University was the first institution of higher learning in the United States to offer both undergraduate and graduate degrees in popular culture.

Bartholome served as president of the Popular Culture Association and also as treasurer, president and board member of the joint Popular Culture and American Culture Associations. The Associations recently recognized her scholarship and service by naming their eminent scholar award in her honor.
