Join the Chemistry/Geosciences Department June 9th on our annual professional development field trip into the past! This year we will be exploring life in the Devonian, a geologic period when Western New York was covered by a warm, shallow sea. You will visit an ancient fossil reef near Leroy, NY, enjoy the Genesee County Park and Forest and its interpretive center, and then collect fossils in East Bethany, NY. The trip will end with a tour of a chocolate factory in Batavia to enlighten your senses on the chemistry of chocolate! The trip is open to all MCC faculty and staff.
