On Saturday, November 2, 2002 the men and women's soccer teams will be hosting the Region III Tournament. The Lady Tribunes will play at 1:00 P.M. against Clinton Community College. This will be the first time that Clinton has ever made it to the Region III final tour. The Lady Cougars are coming into the tournament 16-1. The championship will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. If the Lady Tribunes advance to the finals, they will play the winner of Cobleskill and Herkimer. The winner of Region III will automatically advance to the National Tournament.
The men's team won 3-1 in their first regional game against Globe Institute. They have advanced to the Region III finals which will take place on Sunday, November 3 at 11:00 A.M. MCC will be playing the defending national champions Bryant and Stratton. The winner of this game will advance to the district playoffs.
