MCC will host the Instructional Technology Council's professional development audioconference entitled, "Teaching Art at a Distance," on Tuesday, September 19 from 2:00-3:00 in the Board Lounge. The presenter is C.J. Cavanaugh, Jr., Art Instructor and Coordinator of Faculty Innovation Center at Tyler Junior College. C.J. has taught online classes in drawing and design for about 10 years. He also coordinates the Faculty Innovation Center at TJC where he trains other faculty members to teach on the Internet and to use computers and the Web in on-campus classes. C.J. will share some "tricks" he has learned for teaching art at a distance and provide some techniques he has used to help faculty keep their online courses "REAL."
