Greetings of Gratitude

Gratitude June 2, 2020

Alice Wilson," Assistant Director, Library Services because, "Alice Wilson continues to inspire and impress me. She has always creatively redefined herself beyond the traditional role of a librarian. In her latest reincarnation, she hosts Answers, Resources, and Community (ARC), a Library Discussion Group for Students. ARC is a space for MCC students, particularly our library regulars, to connect with each other and with library staff. Thank you, Alice for your selfless devotion to students, now and always."

John Delate," AVP Student Services because, "John has continued offering the professional development series via Zoom while we're working remotely. The topics are timely and, more importantly, he creates a forum where participants are comfortable sharing their experiences. He shares his own experiences in such a real way and he gets what we're all going through. Thanks John!"

And because, "I think it is just wonderful that John stays committed to supporting the general professional development of the college employees. Even in the midst of the current pandemic, John finds time to organize, offer, and deliver or co-deliver multiple opportunities a month for faculty, staff, administrators to focus on ourselves and our personal and professional growth and development. Thank you, John!"

Denee Martin, from Admissions because, "Denee always brings her energy and passion for working with students. She is a constant reminder of the importance of developing and maintaining student engagement and connection. She can be counted on to bring her hard work and focus to whatever project and event it is needed. And, when our campus and interactions become virtual, she continues to seek means for sustaining her responsibilities with a student-centered focus. Thank you, Denee, for reminding us all how each effort to reach out to our students makes a difference. Your dedication is inspiring."

Natalie Fabretti, from the Upward Bounds Program for, "[becoming] the technology guru of the Upward Bounds family. At the onset of the transition to work from home she has spent many hours sharpening her skills on how to use technology such as TutorOcean and Zoom efficiently and effectively. She then created workshops for the program tutors and students on the use of the technology. Natalie spearheaded the implementation of our online tutoring and has been instrumental in organizing our weekly Meet and Greets with the students. She continues to do an exceptional job and we are blessed and grateful to have her in the Upward Bounds family."
