ADV 220 “Developing Intercultural Communication Skills” workshop / Monday, June 8th from 10:30 – 12:00 / Room 3-172 / Gale Lynch and Audra Dion   

-          Share examples of your intercultural communication challenge in the advising context
-          Learn some key cultural concepts that you can put to practical use in your next cross cultural advising session
-          Hear about general cultural traits that will help make sense of students’ perspectives

-          ​Distinguishing who these students are and what our perceptions are
-          Case Study Activity:  to share experiences and ideas for negotiating through three specific cultural situations

-          Glean insights from the AAC&U Conference on Global Learning in College
-          Learn about the various models for internationalizing curriculum
