9 am – 1:30 pm with continental breakfast and lunch included
Damon City Campus
This event is co-sponsored by the Teaching & Creativity Center and the Education and Human Services Department. We invite all faculty members (full-time and adjunct) from all departments at all MCC campuses and centers to join us for an exciting and informative half-day of professional development. Our sessions will focus on teaching, and participants will walk away with something new to try in class.
Specific workshop descriptions will follow in November, but look forward to learning about:
1. Using Case Studies and Role Playing to promote critical thinking and student engagement
2. Formative assessment
3. How to improve students’ reading and writing skills within the disciplines
4. Improving student performance by examining faculty work
5. Collaborative learning
6. Teaching and learning online
