Monroe Community College alumni William W. Rose ’76 of Webster, Andrew “A.J.” Sperr ’94 (1972-2006) of Greece and Elmira, Kaye E. Stone ’85 of Newark and Kaye A. Thomas ’71 of  Lisle, Ill. will be inducted into the MCC Alumni Hall of Fame at the 17th annual Salute to Excellence dinner on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.

The event is hosted by the Monroe Community College Foundation to celebrate philanthropy towards public higher education, alumni success and volunteerism in Greater Rochester. The inductees were selected by the 2006 MCC Alumni Hall of Fame Committee, led by fellow alumnus John T. Smith ’71 (Pittsford). Demonstrated professional success and community involvement are among the criteria for selection.

Rose is the founder, chief executive officer and chairman of DATROSE, Inc., a Webster-based company that provides human resources, finance/administrative and document process outsourcing solutions to Fortune 1000 customers. Today, DATROSE employs 675 employees in 26 states. Rose serves on the boards of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children/New York Branch and the Small Business Association Advisory Council. Sperr was a graduate of MCC’s Law and Criminal Justice program and a 10-year veteran of the New York State Police. He was killed in the line of duty in March 2006 at the age of 33 while serving the citizens of New York. His parents, Jean and Andy Sperr, will accept the award.

He also serves as a consultant, author and public speaker for  Fairmark Press, Inc., the company he founded in 1998 to provide investment-related tax information to his colleagues in the financial services field and to his clients.

At the dinner, Anne Mulcahy, chairman and CEO, Xerox Corporation, will be recognized for her community leadership and philanthropy that continues to impact the lives of many Rochesterians. Mulcahy will be presented with the Salute to Excellence Award—a Steuben crystal star designed to reflect the recipient’s personal commitment and generosity.
