The Curriculum Office invites you to learn about quick and efficient techniques for conducting environmental scans to assess employment/industry, demographic, and job trends. The webcast Environmental Scanning for Adult and Continuing Education, an Academic Impressions Web Conference will be held Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in the Peter A. Spina Administration Building, room 1-307. Our goal in hosting this webcast is to support the program development and review process. The ability to assess the economic development needs of our local industry and employers matched to students’ interests is critical to the successful development and implementation of new certificates and associate in applied science degree programs. Following the program, Michael Heel and I will lead a discussion on the application of the techniques to the college’s program development and review process.
