Guest Scholar: Sociologist Eric Klinenberg, NYU's Institute for Public Knowledge

In partnership with the Friends & Foundation of the Rochester Public Library, MCC presents American sociologist and scholar of urban studies, culture, and media Eric Klinenberg on Wednesday, November 13. Members of the College community at both campuses are invited to participate.

Klinenberg is the Helen Gould Shepard Professor of Social Science and director of the Institute for Public Knowledge at New York University. He is the author of Palaces for the People: How Social Infrastructure Can Help Fight Inequality, Polarization, and the Decline of Civic Life. Palaces for the People was named one of the 'best books of the year' by NPR, and longlisted for the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Nonfiction.
