Tech Tip: Get ahead of a password change

If you take a few moments now to update your account recovery information, it will make your password changes go smoothly. Go to the account management tool at https://myaccount.monroecc.edu/. First time, you will have to verify your identity through an email or cell phone number. Those employees who have been at MCC for a while may want to check and update this recovery information before you need to use it!

Update Your Account Recovery Information

  1. Go to the account management tool at https://myaccount.monroecc.edu/ (You can also get there through the Forgot Your Password link on the myMCC page at: https://my.monroecc.edu .)
  2. On the next page click the blue box marked "Sign in"
  3. Sign in using your MCC email
  4. Click on Account Recovery in navigation list on the left
  5. You will see the information the college has for an account recovery email address and cell phone number.
  6. Update to your current information if needed! The recovery information needs to be a personal cell phone number and personal email address (not your MCC email).
  7. When you change your information, the system will ask you to confirm your phone number/email address by sending a verification text or email (depending on what you have updated). You will have to retrieve the code from your phone/email and then type the code into the form within 25 minutes. If you don't see the email, be sure to check your junk or spam folder.
  8. Enter the code
  9. Click the "Next" button
  10. A message will display to confirm that the change was successful
