The Housing & Residence Life and Counseling & Advising departments would like to report the success of the "Advisement in the Halls" program held November 1st and 2nd from 2-4:30pm in the Pioneer Hall Common Room. The program calls upon the services of MCC faculty and staff advisors to come out to the residence halls and do advisement and registration for residents enrolled in Liberal Arts programs. This was the third time that the program has been done and it was a great success. There were 40 residents advised by ten faculty and staff during the two days. Residents who participated in the program were very grateful to the faculty and staff advisors who came to their homes and assisted them with advisement, registration, program changes and insight on their degree planning.
A special thank you to the following people:
Sally Dingee from Counseling & Advising for gathering resources for the program, including the letters to the residents who were eligible to notify them of the program;
Josh Kelly, Resident Assistant (RA) for Housing & Residence Life for delivering all of those letters;
Brittany Hall, Resident Assistant (RA) for Housing & Residence Life for asking that the program be brought back again this year and for assisting with sign in on the first day of the program;
