MCC Toastmasters Club Achieves Distinguished Status

Congratulations to the officers and members of the MCC Toastmasters Club for achieving “distinguished club status” for the 2009-2010 year. Toastmasters International (www.toastmasters.org) bestows the honor to clubs that maintain and grow their membership and earn at least five points based on international standards. This marks the sixth time the MCC Toastmasters Club has been recognized internationally as distinguished.

Under Club President Pam Kone’s (Applied Technologies Center) leadership, members achieved individual communication goals, officers completed specified leadership training requirements and the annual distinguished club plan was fulfilled. Ilene Benz (VaPA) assumed the president’s role on July 1.
