College Purchasing Policy: A Reminder


Recently, it has come to my attention that there have been increased instances of employees placing an order for items or service directly with a vendor, thus, bypassing the College’s Purchasing Department.

Please allow me to reiterate the College Policy regarding commitments of College funds:
All departments must be aware that the Purchasing department is responsible for committing all non-payroll related college funds. No employee of the College is permitted to order any materials, equipment, or services directly without an approved purchase order signed by the College's Director of Purchasing, Assistant Purchasing Director, or other authorized College administrator. The payment of any unauthorized purchases or services performed will be the sole responsibility of the person placing the order.
