Helping Student-Parents Access Child Care, Before & After School Care, & Camps

Lack of child care is one of the most significant barriers for college students who are parents. These "Student-Parents" balance school, work, and childcare responsibilities and are searching for answers. Please join the Single Moms Design Team for a discussion with on-campus and community partners to assist our Student-Parents in learning what is available to them in terms of child care, before and after school care, and camps.

Panelists include Todd Waite, the Vice President of Youth Development at the YMCA of Greater Rochester; Anne Barker, the Director of the Guon Childcare Center at MCC; and Renee Schultz, the Family and Employer Services Director at the Child Care Council. ​The event will be held for faculty and staff on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 12pm and Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 7pm for student-parents.
