DWIGHT Donation Item of the Week

Doing What Is Good and Healthy Together (DWIGHT), assists in combating the food insecurity on campus which almost half of our students report facing. The U.S. Department of Agriculture defines food insecurity as a state in which "consistent access to adequate food is limited by a lack of money and other resources at times during the year." DWIGHT is available to students and employees. Help us help others by donating to the DWIGHT campus food pantries.

Each week during the semester, we will be requesting specific items to help stock the DWIGHT food pantries. Please do not feel limited to donate only these items. The pantries accept donations of all non-perishable items at any time. The "Item of the Week" is to just highlight one item that the pantries are particularly low in.

This week's Item(s) of the Week are:

Brighton Campus: Pancake mix and/or syrup

Downtown Campus: Jelly (grape or strawberry)

Items will be accepted from Monday through Friday at the respective DWIGHT location.

Brighton Campus: 3-125 (COVE)

Downtown Campus: Room 220

Reminder that you can also drop off your nonperishable food donations at the LeRoy V. Good Library in Building 2 on the Brighton Campus or at the Learning Commons on the 4th floor of the Downtown Campus! Just look for the bright yellow crate near the exit at either location.

Faculty and staff can also designate contributions to DWIGHT via payroll deduction, by clicking on the link below.

Thank you for your continued support as we work to combat food insecurities within the MCC community!
