Craft Night with the MCC Wellness Council and Diane Wilson

Research suggests that crafting is much more than just an outlet for personal expression or a way to pass the time. Crafting can help reduce anxiety, improve mood, and increase happiness, all of which can help fight depression. Crafting has similar effects to meditation, is a natural anti-depressant, and creative projects may prevent against aging.

The Wellness Council is partnering with Diane Wilson, Mathematics, for two craft nights. We will be creating a birdhouse box, that would be great in your spring time decor or to gift it with a small plant, etc.

You will have two chances to take part in this virtual event via Zoom. Each session has a cap of 15 participants.

Wednesday, May 19  at 7:00 pm

Friday, May 21 at 7:00 pm

Paper crafting kits will be provided to all who attend. All you will need to provide is the glue.

Please note that you will need to go to Campus to pick up your kit. All kits will be available to pick up on Tuesday, May 18 in the vestibule of Building 1, lower level. You will not need a COVID test to pick this kit up.

If you are interested in participating, please email MCCWellness@monroecc.edu.
