Virtual Campus Fall Support Hours

Over the last year, our Zoom support hours were very popular and accessible to many more faculty. Since March 2020, we have had about 5000 total visits to the drop-in room! Special thanks to our whole Virtual Campus team staff that assisted during the pandemic. Our team provides assistance with Blackboard, Zoom, other college supported instructional technologies, as well as instructional design assistance.

We will continue our Zoom drop-in hours for faculty to “stop in” and get help during our advertised support hours. We will continue similar hours, but please note the changes to the afternoon hours beginning this week.

Our virtual drop-in hours through Zoom are:

Monday, 10 am-12 pm and 1-3 pm
Tuesday,10 am-12pm and 1-3 pm
Wednesday, 10 am-1 2pm and 1-3 pm
Thursday, 10 am-12 pm and 1-3 pm
Fridays 10 am-12 pm

On-Campus Support (Brighton Campus)

Beginning September 7th, the Virtual Campus team is back on campus! Our doors are open during college business hours, Monday-Friday from 8:45 am-4:45 pm. This includes our lab spaces for faculty/staff usage, including the Lecture Capture Studio and the FIC.

The Lecture Capture Studio (Room 3-153A) is a sound-proof room where faculty and staff can create high quality instructional videos using our equipment for recording and editing (using Camtasia). Please make an appointment to use this space by emailing the Virtual Campus Office.

The Faculty Innovation Center (FIC) (Room 3-122A) is a quiet faculty space that has six computer stations with double monitors, a webcam, and printers. The FIC will be open during college business hours Monday-Friday 8:45 am-4:45 pm for computer usage. Computers are available on a first come, first served basis. We encourage you to bring your own headphones. Please sign in when you enter and exit the space. Masks are required!

FIC Drop-In Support

We will have drop-in support in the FIC (3-122A) during the same hours as our Zoom help:

Monday, 10 am-12 pm and 1-3 pm
Tuesday, 10am-12pm and 1-3 pm
Wednesday, 10 am-12 pm and 1-3 pm
Thursday, 10 am-12 pm and 1-3 pm
Fridays 10 am-12 pm

You are welcome to call in our FIC Support Line at 292-3427 with questions during these times or leave a message for our team.

You are still welcome to use the FIC during non-drop in times, however immediate assistance may not be available. We will be closely monitoring the usage of the drop-in hours on campus this semester and will make adjustments to the schedule as needed. Look for monthly updates.

Appointments

If you are unable to make any of the support times, please make an appointment with one of our team members. Appointments are reserved for more in-depth consultations. We encourage you to use the drop-in times for quick questions.
