AAWCC-MCC Chapter Dedicates Tree on Campus

In honor of its 25th anniversary and recent national recognition as chapter of the year, the American Association for Women in Community Colleges-MCC Chapter (AAWCC-MCC) will dedicate a white fringe tree on the Brighton Campus. The dedication and a reception will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 6 in front of the Robin and Tim Wentworth Arts Building, facing Lot F.

The event will also serve to introduce AAWCC-MCC Chapter officers for the 2019-2020 year.

The white fringe tree is noted for its white fragrant flowers that bloom in the spring and its attractive fall foliage. Our thanks to Greg Nickason and Michael Wichtowski from MCC's Facilities Department for their help in selecting the tree. Adjacent to the tree will be a custom-made plaque designed and produced by Darwin Snow from the Applied Technologies Center.

Since 1993, AAWCC-MCC has offered leadership, community service and professional development opportunities to MCC employees. Please join in our celebration!
