Please note: MCC weekly COVID-19 updates will publish on Fridays for the remainder of the semester.

Our pooled testing efforts this week resulted in no new positive cases of COVID-19 among students and employees. Way to go, MCC! Thank you to those who were tested, test center volunteers, and MCC Health Services and Public Safety staff for their leadership. Currently:

  • No students are isolating on campus
  • 11 students are isolating off campus
  • 6 students are in mandatory quarantine off campus

MCC COVID-19 testing stats to date:

  • 12,767 complete COVID-19 pooled tests
  • 29 total cases identified among students and employees through pooled testing
  • 0.23% positivity rate

Next week, mandatory pooled (saliva) testing sessions will be held 2:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 9 and 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 10 in the Flynn Campus Center on the Brighton Campus. No appointment necessary.

MCC adheres to federal, state and county guidelines and requires mask wearing, social distancing, hand washing, respiratory etiquette and daily health self-assessments on campus. Please check the SUNY COVID-19 Case Tracker and/or MCC Updates & Resources web pages for the latest information.
