John Delate appointed as Associate Vice President, Student Services

I am pleased to announce that the Board of Trustees approved the appointment of John Delate as Associate Vice President, Student Services, at their December meeting. He began his Associate Vice President work here on January 2.

John earned a M.A. in History from Clark University, and a M.S. in Education and B.S. in Social Science from Mansfield University. He comes to MCC with 20 years of higher education leadership experience, most recently having served as Executive Director of Residence Life at Montclair State University. Prior to Montclair, he held a number of administrative positions at Purchase College, State University of New York.

Along with his above-listed credentials, Mr. Delate is a Ph.D. candidate in History at Clark University. He has both teaching and coaching experience at a number of institutions and community organizations, as well as significant experience in residential life, student leadership, professional development, and student conduct.

In his role as Associate Vice President, Mr. Delate will direct essential aspects of the Student Services Division's efforts to support the College's overall mission, strategic plan, and goals, serving a diverse student body and College community.

Please join me in welcoming John to his new role.
