On Monday, January 14, MCC’s Visual and Performing Arts Department held a Visual Communication Advisory Board meeting with participants from the media regarding the photography and television program (VC02). Participants represented a wide array of media outlets including photography, radio, and television.
The meeting was held to discuss the VC02 program which allows MCC students different choices in the communications field. The advisory board has already begun moving forward with a photo merger, curricular updates, and new faculty for the VC02 program. This gave board members an opportunity to let local industry professionals share their valuable input on the program.
Participants included; Rhonda Austin, WXXI Radio; Tony Barbagallo, founder of Antonio Barbagallo Photography; Tom Cummings, Cummings Creative Incorporated; and Chad Taggert, from Time Warner Communications. Other media professionals in attendance were Andy Olenick, Gary Knack, Eric Kunsman, Mark Lebue, Paul Lissowski, Don Loy, Forest McMullen, Susan Rodgers and Dave Sluberski.
