International Day: We are Looking for Talent

We are bringing back International Day!

IFor those of you who don’t know, International Day has been a huge event on this campus  since 1999.  Originating out of the Global Union International Students Association’s office, it is an event  that celebrates the diversity of our students on our campus and the Rochester community.  We have entertainment (everything from dancing, singing, poetry and playing instruments to country display tables).  We will have an fashion show with International Students wearing clothing that is traditional to their country.  We will have international foods for everyone to sample.

This event will happen on Monday, April 22, 2013 in the Flynn Campus Center - Main Dining and the Warshof Conference Center (Monroe A and B) from 11am to 3pm. It is being sponsored by the Global Union International Student Association, Spanish Club, Muslim Club, Africa United and the Celtic Society.

So here is your opportunity!

Right now we are in the audition stage of organizing the event.  We are looking for faculty, students and people from the Rochester community to attend one of the auditions that are listed below.  All contestants who will be performing in the actual event will be picked by our students.  The student or student group with the best performance will win a prize.

Audition dates are:

February 4th from 12 noon-2pm in the Forum, 3-130
February 6th from 6-8pm in Monroe A
February 12th from 12 noon-2pm in Monroe A
February 12th from 6-8pm in the Forum, 3-130

Come on ...don’t be shy ... WE KNOW YOU’VE GOT TALENT!
