April Wellness Council Calendar

As April approaches, time has certainly changed. We have found ourselves working from home, isolated, homeschooling and trying to figure out our new normal. The Wellness Council wants you to know that you are not alone and we are going through the same things you are. That is why we will be bringing you a fun, humor and healthy tidbit each Wednesday, to help you beat the at home blues.

This week's humor comes from the movie Madagascar. We invite you to play this video, get up and move it move it. Make sure to dance like no one is watching. Bonus points if you post on our Facebook page (MCC College Wellness Council) of you and your family moving, moving!

If you liked this dose of fun, we invite you to move it move it, with Wellness Council member, Kim Nixon. She will be going live on Friday, via Zoom, for Work it Weekdays- Home Edition. This will give you another chance to get up out of those chairs and have some fun! Check out her tribune article "zoom work out room."

Your healthy tidbit is our April calendar! Each day you will find the following:

Monday Motivation will provide you some positive inspiration to jump start your week.

Tasty Tuesday provides a new and healthy recipe. Just click on the name and it will take you to the recipe.

Wellness Wednesday will provide you with a different mental wellness challenge each week. We will provide a different one each week until the end of the academic year.

Thursday Trivia contains unique trivia.

Feel Good Friday will give you suggestions on ideas you can do with the family each weekend.

April is National Get Up and Move Month. Whether you get up and move with us or you get out and take a walk on lunch, make sure to get those legs moving. April is also Donate Life Month.

Our calendar is full of meditation, wellness tips, and inspiration to help you through these trying times.
