Much Excitement Surrounding Latino Family Day

There is “mucho” excitement surrounding our upcoming IBERO collaborative event “Juntos Por La Comunidad”.  On Monday April 9, 2012, the MCC experience will be especially welcoming for our Latino community.

This family day event will familiarize our guests with our Brighton campus, highlight the best in our academic programs, showcase our amazing Student Services, and engage the community with informative, fun workshops.  Students, faculty, and staff who want to help can do so in any of three ways:

1. Help us spread the word.  Share the attached flyers with your contacts and encourage them to attend.

2. Bring a friend.  You attending the event shows your support.  You bringing a friend helps them make the necessary connections they will need to bridge the gap toward their educational goal.  It’s a win-win.

3. Volunteer.  Students and staff have stepped forward and volunteered to highlight their clubs, departments, and programs.  Others will serve as guides and ambassadors for MCC.  If you would like to volunteer contact me at
mrizzo@monroecc.edu or my assistant Aileen Roselli at aroselli@student.monroecc.edu .  Volunteering may even be used to fulfill service hours or Honors points.

Mark your calendars and make plans to attend Latino Family Day at the Brighton Campus of Monroe Community College on Monday April 9th.  Shuttle transportation is available from the IBERO-American Action League located at 777 Clifford Ave.  Additional details can be found here:
