I am pleased to announce that Ms. Peggy Harvey-Lee has been approved by the Board of Trustees of Monroe Community College for the position of Director, Counseling and Advising Center. Ms. Harvey-Lee will start her new assignment on Monday, March 10. She comes to MCC with 22 years of experience working in a community college setting, most recently as the Dean of Student Development and prior to that, Interim Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management at Thomas Nelson Community College, Williamsburg/Hampton, Virginia. Previously, she worked as Director, Outreach and Student Programs for the University of California, Irvine, College of Medicine. From 1980 to 1998, Ms. Harvey-Lee worked at Monroe Community College as a Counselor at the Damon City Campus, Counselor for the Counseling and Advising Center at the Brighton Campus, and for the Special Services Program in Transitional Studies.
We are privileged to have the opportunity to have Ms. Harvey-Lee return to Monroe Community College. We are confident she will be a strong asset to the college as she has demonstrated management and leadership experience and a dedicated commitment to work with community college students.
