Soon you may notice a new icon and application on your office computer. The small yellow circle on the lower right system tray of your computer is for an enhancement to the MCC Alert system. In the event of an activation of the MCC Alert system, a message will be displayed on your computer screen with instructions for the emergency. The message can be removed by clicking on the Acknowledge button on the screen. This alert to your PC is in addition to the other means that MCC Alert uses to communicate emergency information to the campus community. You do not need to do anything to activate this software; it will be active any time you turn on your computer.
