The MCC Mathematics Department offers several different scholarships each year. There are two scholarship opportunities we would like you to consider at this time, with more coming up in the spring:
The Robert A. Fratangelo Memorial Scholarship https://www.monroecc.edu/depts/math/scholarships.htm#raf#raf
The Stuart R. Porter and Joyce R. Porter Endowed Scholarship https://www.monroecc.edu/depts/math/scholarships.htm#porter#porter
Although individual scholarship requirements vary, a student may qualify for at least one scholarship if he/she:
Is a current student at MCC
Has completed at least 24 credit hours at MCC
Has completed math courses above MTH 160 or Calculus 1
Has a GPA of 2.7 or higher (with a math GPA of 3.0 or higher)
Plans to major in mathematics or a math-related field
Complete applications with essays and recommendations are due in the Mathematics Department Office no later than 4:00 p.m., Monday, February 14, 2011.
