Garden on Remembrance Annual Bulb Planting and Dedication Ceremony

WHO: Monroe Community College's Holocaust Genocide Studies Project and the
children
of the MCC Child Care Center

WHAT: Garden of Remembrance Annual Bulb Planting and Dedication Ceremony.
This event is free and open to the public.

WHEN: Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002 at noon.

WHERE: Monroe Community College Child Care Center, 1000 East Henrietta
Road, Rochester (Parking is available in Lot D, adjacent to the Child Care
Center on the north end of the Brighton Campus.)

WHY: The Garden of Remembrance was established in 1990 and is dedicated to the
1.5 million children murdered during the Holocaust. This unique living memorial
is located outside of MCC's Child Care Center. Each fall, MCC students,
faculty, staff, and children from the Child Care Center join with Holocaust
survivors to plant daffodil bulbs that will flower the next spring and multiply
in years to come. This beautiful garden reminds us of the potential lost to
humankind when the Nazis destroyed these most innocent of victims.
