Greetings of Gratitude

Thank you notes from across the campus continue to roll-in. The link is still open, so please submit your thank you here!!!

Valerie Olivieri, Law and Criminal Justice, was thanked by a co-worker because "[She] is always helpful whenever I call on her, and this newest adventure was no different. I called her at home a few times, and she always answered with her normal cheerful voice. She helped me figure out some of the "at home" technology to do things that are second nature on campus. She also directed me to the Technology Help Line to get assistance in getting VPN installed in my home computer. Her suggestions made a big difference in my comfort level of working from home. She is a true jewel at MCC and I am thankful to call her my co-worker and friend."

Tom Capuano, Instructional Technologies, was thanked by many, including this one: "In the midst of helping non-online professors transition their courses online, Tom continued to provide me (an long time online professor) with support for a SUNY Geneseo collaboration our classes are doing this semester (timing is everything)! In addition to responsive emails, Tom set up a Zoom meeting ASAP to help me create groups for this collaboration. We did this without even missing a pre-set deadline. My question was minor compared to the pressing work within transition week. Thank you for making everyone feel important! Tom, you are a rock star!"

Christine Cormack, VaPA Specialist II, received high praise: "Christine is a lifesaver. My home laptop and desktop were sorely out of date. This was causing my online work to take way longer because of processing times. I tried to update the software myself...and came close to throwing my computers through my window on several occasions! Christine graciously suggested I bring in my laptop and she could even work on it while I was in class. When I returned from classes, like magic, it was good as new! She also shared how to do the same with my desktop at home.

I don't know what my window would look like now if my machines were still as slow now that all of my classes, not just one, are online. I thank you every day I log on and get things done, Christine!"
