MCC Libraries Honors Institute READ Posters Display

During the Fall 2012 semester Honors Institute students posed for photographs with their favorite book to support MCC Libraries’ Books That Made a Difference READ posters project. The READ posters are based on the American Library Association’s celebrity READ posters campaign, and were photographed by Jeremy Case of MCC’s Instructional Technologies department and created by Collection Development Librarian Rick Squires. The posters are on display throughout the month of April in the Atrium across from the entrance to the LeRoy V. Good Library on the Brighton campus in celebration of National Library Week April 14 – 20, 2013.

The Books That Made a Difference project, sponsored by the Library Student Advisory Council (LSAC)
https://libguides.monroecc.edu/lsac , began in Spring 2009 as a way to connect the library to students and reading, and features student responses about books that have impacted their lives in numerous ways.

Images of the READ posters along with information about each student’s favorite book can also be found on the “Featured Readers” tab of the Books That Made a Difference library guide
https://libguides.monroecc.edu/books.
