It's Regional Weekend at MCC, as the Tribune baseball program will host the 2009 Region III, Division II tournament.
The double-elimination tournament will run Friday through Sunday. The action starts at noon Friday as Genesee CC takes on Mercyhurst North East. MCC will take the field at 4 p.m. against Alfred State.
The games continue Saturday with a tripleheader starting at 10 a.m. Sunday is the championship with the first pitch slated for 12 p.m. There will be a second game immediately following, if necessary.
MCC is in search of its fifth straight regional title and 20th overall. These will be the last home games of the season for Monroe, so be sure to come out and cheer on the Tribunes as they start their journey toward another JUCO World Series.
