A New Twist in Preparing Faculty to Design, Deliver and Teach Online Audioconference

The College will host the ITC audioconference entitled A New Twist in Preparing Faculty to Design, Deliver and Teach Online on Tuesday June 29 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the Board Lounge.  Presenters are Dr. Julie Giuliani, Director of Distance Education and Kathleen Plinske, Coordinator of Media Development and Technology Training at McHenry County College.  A successful faculty training program supporting the design, development and teaching of an online course requires an integrated approach blending both technical and instructional perspectives. The presenters will discuss their institution’s faculty training program for online course development, as well as for online instruction. Topic highlights include the difference between instructional development and teaching, how training is linked to faculty stipends and the importance of a faculty training checklist.  Please contact Carol Wilkinson by email or at Ext. 3019 to make a reservation.
