Art Lecture: Weldgen to Speak in Library


The LeRoy V. Good Library (Brighton Campus) is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a lecture Wednesday, April 17, 12:00 pm to 12:50 pm. Assistant Professor Franzie Weldgen will be speaking on “A Peek Inside My Head: Ideation and Explanation.” The lecture will be located on the 4th floor of the library, outside of room 2-452.

Professor Weldgen was born and raised in Rochester, NY.  He received his BFA at Rochester Institute of Technology ('94) and his MFA at the University of Arizona ('99), where he taught for six years.  He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Visual and Performing Arts Department here at MCC teaching Drawing, Painting, Design, and Comics & Sequential Art.  He has exhibited nationally and his "Imaginary Fate of Osama Bin Laden" comic resides in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Museum, Washington, DC.
