Successful Open House

On Saturday, November 2, 2013, MCC hosted over 775 guests for our annual Fall Open House.  We are excited to have had such a great response!

We would like to thank the MCC community for their support and participation in our premier recruitment event for high school seniors.  MCC faculty,  staff and students were available to answer prospective students’ questions, provide campus tours, and showcase the college.  Workshops were presented on academic departments, as well as Admissions and Financial Aid, (which were also presented in Spanish), Transfer Credit and Damon City Campus, to name a few.  STEM departments hosted specialty tours and an ice cream social.  Other specialty tours included the PAC, ATC, and residence halls.

Families were welcomed by President Anne Kress, followed by several MCC students who shared their inspiring stories on why they selected MCC and how MCC has made a difference for them.

The Admissions Office would like to send a special thank you to Advising and Graduation Services, for their support with logistics and overall assistance.  Kudos to Campus Events and Catering for coordinating the facilities and hospitality for our guests.  A shout out to our Facilities Department for making the campus shine for our visitors, and the Print Shop for last-minute print projects. A big thanks to our wonderful students who participated in the campus tours, shared their MCC stories, and played in the MCC Jazz Band!
