MCC students selected to present at a national conference


MCC students Everlidys Cosme, Ebow Cobbina and Magalie Volcy were selected to
present their summer research projects at the Annual Biomedical Research
Conference for Minority Students. The conference, sponsored by the Division of
Minority Opportunities in Research of the National Institute of General Medical
Sciences, will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana from November 13-16, 2002.
Students were selected from across the nation based on their abstract entry.

Project titles of the MCC students are:
* Expression of Cloned Erythropoietin Receptor
* Bubble Motion, Deformation, and Breakup in Stirred Tanks
*Photochemical Reduction and Deposition of Silver onto BaTi03 for Antibacterial
Application.
