Dr. Gary Hoppenstand
Editor, The Journal of Popular Culture

Dr. Hoppenstand will offer a visual presentation on the popular American horror film, discussing how the horror motion picture has reflected American social history from the 1930's to the late twentieth century. Using selected film clips from famous and infamous horror films produced over the past 70 years, Hoppenstand will explore how these movies expressed our collective social phobias and national anxieties over the past seven decades.
