All About Open Education Week!

The annual celebration of Open Education Week (this year from March 2-6) raises awareness of, and showcases the impact of open education on teaching and learning across the globe. How can you participate? It can be as easy as attending some of the MANY webinars offered by "open" advocates.

SUNY is hosting several webinars this week, one of which features MCC's own Sherry Tshibangu who will be presenting a "Roadmap to Getting Started with OER" today from 1:30-2:15pm via this Zoom link. A listing of all presentations being showcased this week can be found here. Don't worry if you can't attend; recordings will be added to their page at the end of the week.

OER @ MCC Fun Fact of the Day: This semester, thirty-nine courses are being taught using OER and during the 2018-19 academic year, students saved $722,000 in textbook costs because of OER adoption. Go, OER Champions!
