Today: Seeds of Success Workshop
As we approach the end of the semester, students will begin to study for their final exams. If you have students who need to improve their study skills, please encourage the students to attend the Seeds of Success (SOS) workshop hosted by the Counseling Center and Disability Services office. Students who have participated in SOS workshops in the past have demonstrated reduced test anxiety as well as improved study habits and academic achievement.
TODAY: Thursday, December 3rd, from 3:00-4:30pm.
Students will learn:
- How to relax during exams and focus on the questions that are asked.
- Study skills techniques.
- How to manage and budget time.
- Test sophistication: knowing how to take different types of examinations.
- How to set and evaluate goals.
- Strategies used to increase motivation.
- Tips for promoting positive mental health and coping.
Students do not need to bring anything to the workshop; it will be held virtually this semester. We will reference the attached handouts during the presentation. Please feel free to share these handouts with your students.
