News from the MCC Board of Trustees Meeting


The MCC Board of Trustees held its meeting in the Warshof Conference Center, Flynn Campus Center on the Brighton Campus on Monday, April 8 and took the following actions:

1.      Accepted the interim financial report as of February 28, 2013.

2.      Authorized the transfer of funds between accounts.

3.      Approved the appointment of Lomax Campbell as assistant to the vice president, Economic Development and Innovative Workforce Services, effective April 1, 2013.

4.      Approved the appointment of department chairs for the academic year 2013-14, each to receive an annual stipend in accordance with provisions of the current agreement with the Faculty Association.

5.      Adjusted the 2013-14 base annual salaries of eight faculty members in accordance with Article 47(workload buy down) of the current contractual agreement with the Faculty Association, adjusted salaries effective Sept. 1, 2013.

6.      Approved the three-year contractual agreement with the Faculty Association beginning September 1, 2012 and ending August 31, 2015, and authorized the Chair of the Board, the President, and the Chief Negotiator to sign the agreement.

7.      Approved a certificate program in golf management, subject to the approval by the State University of New York.


A number of informational items were also presented to the Board, including:

1.      The MCC Foundation report by Chair David Mack.

2.      Dashboard data on the strategic plan, Direction Three: Partnerships.

3.      A proposed password policy.

4.      A draft tuition and fee schedule.


The latter two will come before the Board at a future meeting for action.
