GLBT Life Trial Database in Library

We are pleased to announce that the Libraries will be offering a trial to the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered Life full-text database through the end of the semester. We hope that you will take this opportunity to access this unique and socially pertinent resource and return any comments on its use to the libraries.

According to the database literature “this database contains indexing and abstracts for more than 120 GLBT-specific core periodicals and 175 GLBT-specific core books and reference works. The product also contains data mined from over 40 priority periodicals and over 1,400 select titles.” The resources indexed in this database will be useful to a wide range of departments and the students taught within those departments.

In order to access the GLBT database, go to the library web page (https://www.monroecc.edu/go/library), choose the "Find Articles" link near the top of the page, and then click on the GLBT link near the bottom of the page, under "Social Sciences." (If you are off campus, follow the directions for "Access from Home" from the database page.)

Please email any questions or comments on the database to Lori Annesi, Reference/Special Collections Librarian ( "mailto:lannesi@monroecc.edu"lannesi@monroecc.edu).
