Hency Yuen-Eng Serves as Interim Assistant Director, Government and Community Relations

Please join me in recognizing the dedication and significant contributions of Hency Yuen-Eng as a member of MCC’s Government and Community Relations team. In April 2021, the MCC Board of Trustees appointed Hency as interim assistant director of government and community relations. In that role, Hency supports and helps lead overall College communications, manages MCC’s media relations, serves as a primary media liaison, and supports and coordinates prioritized College projects.

Hency joined MCC in 2008 after a successful career in journalism—serving in the roles of assistant editor and reporter in Albany and Elmira, N.Y. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Hawaii.

Please join me in thanking Hency for assuming this leadership role as MCC conducts a search for its next executive director of government and community relations. (The search is planned to begin later this summer.)
