Explore Scottish History and Culture with Celtic Society

On Tuesday, April 17 at 6 p.m., join MCC’s Celtic Society and Craig Barclay of Rochester's Scottish Heritage Society for a screening and discussion of STONE OF DESTINY.

In 1297, the English army took the Scottish national symbol, the Stone of Destiny, and brought it to London.  Just over 650 years later, Scottish university students set off to get it back. STONE OF DESTINY recounts their adventure.

Following the screening, Celtic Society members will lead discussion and help put the film into historical perspective. Please join us at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, 17 April in 12-113 for what will be an entertaining, informative, and FREE event.

Upcoming Celtic Film Night: 8 May, 6 p.m. in 12-113, a screening and discussion of THE WAY (Galicia)
Celtic Society’s purpose is to raise awareness of the Celtic Nations (Brittany, Cornwall, Galicia, Ireland, Isle of Man, Scotland, Wales) and diaspora. It aims to share and celebrate Celtic culture with the college community.
