HVAC Instructor Bill Horton Receives  B.S. Degree from Empire State College, Continues His Graduate Work at Buffalo State


Bill Horton an instructor of the Heating Ventilation and Air-Conditioning Program at the Applied Technologies Center recently graduated this past December with his Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies & Adult Technical Education. Bill is now enrolled at Buffalo State College in the Adult Education Master’s Program. Bill has been an instructor since 2007 and assisted in writing numerous grants while working here at MCC ranging from the creation of the STAR Unit (Solar Thermal Auxiliary Resource Building ), NYSERDA Weatherization Building and Siemens Energy Management lab. Recently, he also assisted in securing a Xerox Stem Grant helping the department purchase the latest and greatest equipment in energy efficiencies. Bill is the lead teacher in the Solar Thermal Technologies Program as well. This past summer his STT 102 class participated in a commercial install at a dairy farm in Varysburg, NY installing several Solar Evacuated Tube Collector array. When you see Bill congratulate him on his recent success and his commitment to the college and our students.
