The Writing Center is offering a $100 cash prize to the winner of the Alan B. Shaw Memorial Essay Award. The essay topic is "Twenty-four Hours to Live" and all MCC students are eligible. The award and cash prize will be presented to the winner at the English/Philosophy "Tea Ceremony" on May 13th, and at the MCC Annual Student Awards Banquet. The contest deadline is April 5, 2004, and students may submit their essays to the Writing Center (11-208). Contest guidelines are available. Need a copy? Please print the attachment.
